More monitor repair guides and schematics posted

No more usenet news, no more customer web pages....

What's next, no more public IP, and we'll all be behind one gigantic NAT engine ?

As a person who runs tech for an ISP (Well a couple smaller ones). We still offer usenet news, personal webspace, etc.. But we are probably in the minority.

as for public IPs, if you mean IPV4 space, then yes, expect that eventually IPv4 Will all be behind CGN (Carrier Grade Nat), as we are out of space, and people reserves are dwindling...

IPv6, most places will give you a subnet, so all of your device at home will have public / not nat IP space :)

What?

That kind of talk makes my head hurt.
The big question: Can I still connect to Quantum Link with my dial-up? When that goes away, I'll be screwed. Haven't logged on in a while, but comforting to know it will always be there.

I also would not be opposed to hosting these files. Depending on size of course. I already have an Apache web server in my house so why not.

Sure we still have dialup lol. Much to my amazement people still use it. I bitch at speeds less than gig e and those people use. 56k. Boggle.

Brother Ken hasn't been around in a good while. I sure hope he is doing ok.

I would love to host all of his file's ect on his very own custom domain. All he would need to do is decide what that domain name would be.

This would not be hosted on a home server. This would be with state of the art world class hosting.

I of course would take care of all the rest...

Broken Links

All of these links are broken! On a sticky post, no less. Did these move somewhere or maybe it's a part of the site migration that's going on?

"Community" -> "Members List" -> then click on "Posts" and it will start showing the highest posts counts.

Congrats Ken, you are #10

Is there an updated link for all this awesome info? Everything I can find is expired or not found when I click. Thanks!

That website belongs to forum member Michael Roma. I don't know why the links are not working any more. They were working several days ago.
