I've seen some questions about the WG K7000 lately, so I thought I would add some more(sorry if I'm repeating an old question)....

First, I noticed that the K7000 can be both 19" and 25". Is the board layout the same with the only difference being a different voltage reg. and a different flyback? What are the different flyback/regulator numbers???

Second, how many different versions of the K7000 are out there? I've seen some that are large neck, small neck, medium res. and still others with total different colored boards????

OK, that's it for now....

Thanks!

there were 57 varieties of the K7000, as you've already pointed out.

the flybacks are the same*, the voltage regulators are however different depending on the size of the tube, so you got that right. STR3123 and STR3130 I think are the numbers, for 19" and 25" respectively.

I don't think that the only difference between the two sizes is the difference of a voltage regulator however, the other differences lie I guess in all the other electronics scattered about the deflection board.

the neckboards from what I gathered from what several K7000 gurus around here have been saying are not tube specific, as they've seen both 8 and 10 pin arrangements on both 19" and 25" models.

hope this helps, I'm no K7000 expert however. I'd talk to cadillacman or modessit about such matters.

* don't quote me on that for medium resolution applications.

yeah theres tons and tons of variants of the k7000. Theres more difference then just the voltage regulator between screen sizes.

could you modify a 19 inch chassis to work with a 25"?? probhably, if you knew enough. So far my attepmpts have just killed perfectly good 19 inch chassis lol

19" monitors are lame anyway. ancient relics! j/k, they're awesome to move around by comparison LOL

OK...

Ok, on my lunch break, so I have another quick question.

How can you tell if the K7000 monitor board is a 19" or 25" if the voltage reg has been removed(in my case)???? P447 ID for both correct?
