replaced the cap at c423, still have chirping, found 2 solder points touching and fixed that and the chirping stopped and now have neck glow but no power on monitor. Replaced the flyback, and nothing. Was going over the board again and found 2 bad spots :

located at L401 part says LL00026A on the side (spilt on bottom, can see coils)

located at L501 part says CL00110A15 (this one is badly burnt on bottom)

Was hopping these were in the cap kit I ordered but no luck.

Anyone know where I can get these replacements at? I swear i'm just going to try and find a replacement chassis if I keep running into these problems.

I believe those are inductors (if they follow suit for the 25" monitors and the 27E). I was just looking at L401 in my 27E chassis. You can get them at mouser...just put the value in that you need and choose inductors, then axial..and you'll get the options you need.

As for the values? I can only find the 25" monitor values.. and I'm not sure they are the same for the 27" chassis..so..

There's a color chart here:

http://www.elexp.com/t_induct.htm

or an inductor calculator here:

http://www.electronics2000.co.uk/calc/inductor-code-calculator.php

if you can still see the colors :)

they don't look like inductors, here is a picture of the 2 removed

Did you try dropping the B+ (dial it all the way counterclockwise) and turning it on to see if you get something on screen (or at least neck glow)? I ran into this on my neotec 27E last night. Turns out my B+ pot is probably an issue, but I dialed it down all the way...which was around 68v and I got a pic...started to dial it up..got to 101v and had to stop as anything higher would bounce it way over 150v and shut down the monitor (should be 125v). Just wondering if you turn yours down if you get the same result. So now I can get it to work..but it needs to have the voltage very low. Played all night on it last night and it worked fine, I intend to look into it as time permits.. Good luck.

btw.. Alva has a replacement chassis for $175 that should work ..if you want to go new..details below assuming your vertical and horizontal yoke resistance is the same as mine

I turned it down all the way and slowly increased and I do have neck glow but nothing on the screen and with these 2 blown parts probably have something to do with it not working.
