It's been a while since I've used eBay, but two games closed locally on there tonight and I had to put a bid on them.

Once bidding closed I tried to contact the seller to get info about picking up the games, but eBay doesn't allow you to send the seller a message. If you click on Contact Seller, it takes you to a screen where it tries to help with the two options of Where's My Item and I Want To Cancel My Bid.

So now I'm stuck sending the guy short messages through the message box in the form for requesting the total price from the seller.

Can eBay make it any harder to do a deal through their site?

Bring up the item you just won. Click on the user's name. This will bring up the user page. You can click on the contact member link under their picture. Then you should be able to ask anything you want that fits in about 900 characters.

Ok, I'll keep that in mind too if I use them again. It's been over a year since the last time I used it and it's now more difficult to navigate.

I don't use Paypal, so I usually don't bid unless it's local and I can pay cash on pick-up. It cuts the options way down on what I bid on these days.

Fortunately there have been a lot of great arcade deals on Craigslist lately and I've been getting my console fix off of CTCW. So it's cut the need for using eBay down to almost zero for me.

Thanks,
