More CL shenanigans...

It wouldn't be so bad except, apparently, someone mounted the monitor sideways.

Trying to get ten times what you paid for? Not that odd around here. He knows he'll get a sucker eventually.

Oh, and the guy with the $600 broken Frogger lowered his price to $200. Seems like everyone here starts with a ridiculous price and it takes a month for them to get the idea through their minds that no one is going to buy their 60-1 hellcade at $1200. But more often than not, someone falls for it and the cycle begins again.

I smell shenanigans.. why do people even buy games at these prices?

They don't know what they are worth, they think just because it's old and big that it's worth a lot. eBay also contributes to it. If they want eBay prices, sell on eBay. I'm sure when their $650 Double Dribble finally sells, the listing fee will be worth it.

Nobody is buying them at those prices. Just because they are listed doesn't mean someone is buying them. Which is why they get listed over and over and over and over....

Key Phrase: "TOP FRONT DISPLAY IS CRACKED"

My kids know what a "Marquee" is.

I saw that DK posted and don't have room. Telegraph is like a few miles from me. I was interested to see how long it would last, then I saw that one posted and thought oh great, some asshole trying to flip it. Also, what's been going on with that Twilight Zone pinball that was posted. I saw it on Sunday for $800, then $4500, and then $4000. Someone made a reply making it sound like the guy keeps raising his price. That was also in South County as well, but I told myself no you don't have any room and you saw it a few hours later, it is gone.

It seems like the games around here fall into a couple of categories. First, there's the converted sports games that are asking a reasonable price but take forever to sell because no one wants them. Then there's the MAME cabs and 60-1s going for $1200. Then there is, on occasion, a great game at an awesome price that lasts maybe ten minutes.

Sad that it didn't end up with someone who would restore and play it.
