More Baby Pac-Man issues... :(

Ok I just watched your first video, and I see you have seen my videos, but I did show the problem that was causing the saucer to rapid fire was the broken pin on the PIA socket. Here is the video starting at the time of the explanation which you may have missed.

Thank you all so much for the help!!!

@SaminVA I actually did see that (thank you so much for replying!), although I don't believe that is the problem... only for the fact that it was working fine for a few years up until about a month or two ago, when this started happening out of nowhere.

That being said, I did take that chip out, (as @RobotWorkshop also suggested), because it has oxidized quite a bit. I'll try and clean it a little and re-seat it. Worst-case scenario I'll replace the socket just in case.

Thank you again!!!

(Although if that ends up being the issue, it means that I replaced all of those headers for nothing...) :(

Ok, I give up. I reseated (and cleaned) the ICs in there, and it does the exact same thing.
I don't have the patience for this any more. Between my job throwing me into situations where I have to figure everything out (a whole different story) and this.
I just can't. It's supposed to be a fun hobby; issues like this suck the fun out of it.

I'll be selling the Baby Pac-Man machine with the two (basically) brand new boards very soon.

Thank God I ported this game to the Atari 7800; at least I'll have it in some form. :-/
