Moonwalker PCB -- controls not working in my usual cab

I got a Moonwalker PCB and weirdly I can't control it. It boots fine, looks great, sound is on, dip switches are on freeplay -- but the controls (coin, start and action buttons) don't work. This is in my regular JAMMA cab that I play everything on.

Sorry if this is vague -- I've never encountered this before and really have no idea what the problem could be right now. If someone can give me a few things to try that would be great, otherwise I'll have to wait till I can try it in a friend's machine and go from there. Thanks.

Yeah, even 2P isn't working on freeplay. I'll put the coin chutes back to individual and see if the "Number of players" and "Play mode" are affecting anything. Thanks for the manual

I would use a multimeter set at the lowest voltage level and attach one end to a ground on the PCB and then use the other end on the control switches. Try both sides of several switches and see what happens when you a press a button. One side of the switch should be at a logic level (low/high = 0v/5v) and then change when you press the button.

If that DOES happen, you may have a PCB problem.
It that does NOT happen, you may have a wiring problem that is hidden by other PCBs tying grounds together. Or something else.

OK, before trying the multimeter, I fooled around w/ the dipswitches a bit more.

Putting it on 3 player, somehow the controls for P1 and P2 -- the joysticks plus buttons -- all control the Dance button for player 3. WTF. Any ideas on how that could happen? I don't have a P3 harness for MW to actually see what that would control. Thanks for the ideas so far, guys.
