Did anyone else play Moon Cresta when they were young?. For some reason whenever I see footage of an old arcade that has loads of machines in it, I can pick out the sounds of Moon Cresta straight away amongst all the others. I must have spent a lot of change on this machine to still remember it to this day.

...

I played a lot of Moon Cresta and Eagle. Here in Colorado they were everywhere. One of my favorite Nostalgic games.

I agree that it has that distinctive sound when your ship comes on the screen that I hear from a mile away. Those machines always seemed to be turned up loud too.

Anyone want one? I can pick-up 1 for cheap this week when I pick up another game. Only asking $100. :)

moon cresta / eagle

i remember playing moon cresta on a mini cabinet in a record store in brooklyn ny the store was called "space tracks", anyway the cabinet was brown no decals. i have this in my 60 in 1 dig dug cabinet and i still find it entertaining. the part that sucks is when you get down to the first stage big clumsy rocket. the music and sound is very nice.

Yeah the big rocket stage never lasted long, you could tell who was really good at the game by how long they could make this stage last for.

I don't have any memories of playing this one (or Eagle) BITD. Not saying I never saw it, but if I did, I must not have played it.

That game is REALLY tough! The way the enemies seem to change direction in such a random manner and suicide directly into your ship make it very difficult, at least for me. Perhaps with LOTS of play experience, you can learn to predict the "randomness" of the enemies movements, but I would be really surprised if the official high score for that game is "really" high...

The top score for Eagle is 274K, just recently set by EJ Rowland. I saw him playing it at both Funspot and Richie Knucklez this summer...he's insanely good at that game :D
