Moon Cresta - WTF?

Moon Cresta has taken the title away from Moon Patrol as the worst game, ever. I played it last night on the 60-1, and I would rather be waterboarded than ever have to play it again. What an abomination.

If you are a fan of Moon Cresta, kill yourself.

Yes, there are some rather forgettable games on that 60-1. Moon Cresta is one of them. That Space Panic game can go to hell too. STUPID ASS SHIT.

I will step up and defend Moon Patrol!!! Many a quarter spent at a 7-11 playing it when I was 12 (in 82!)..

Moon Cresta has 1 redeeming value. The docking 1 ship on top of the other. That is fairly unique...

Hard to argue. Moon Cresta is ass. First 1-shot ship sucks because it's 1 shot...and slow. 2nd 2-shot ship is the best...but still sucks... and 3rd 2-shot ship is just too big to last. The game sucks. 3 on a Jon scale of 1 to 10.

OK guys, it looks like I'm going to be the only one here. I love Moon Cresta. Yep, I said it. I've been playing it a ton in MAME lately and I'm getting pretty decent. Plus, I love the look of the artwork on the white cab. C'mon, at least give it up for the sound effects!!! No??!!

The sound? Really? That's one of the more annoying aspects of the game IMHO. TERRIBLE sound... really bad repetitive crap.

Couldn't disagree more. I love Eagle(aka Moon Cresta). I love the strange timing it takes to kill the enemies when you're "in the zone". The music when you dock. The added fire power from multiple ships. All very cool to me.

I think those of us who played these games as kids remember how cool they were back then. It was a different time... it was the beginning of electronic gaming so there wasn't much to compare things to. If it was new, it was cool because it was new.

LMAO!! My wife walked by while I was playing it a few nights ago and she came back in about 5 minutes, super annoyed, and asked me if there was any way to turn the sound off.

It is so strange to me that when someone mentions a game I played as a kid... I can almost instantly hear and see the game playing. I'm going to have to fire up my kids MAME computer and play some Eagle tonight.

Last time I played was probably 6 years ago at a video game meeting in NJ... sooo much fun!

Oh, I guess he just picked all the games that only required left/right movement and one fire. I wasn't considering the game at $299 and the fact it doesn't have the dedicated board even lowers the value.

He may as well change the control panel and sell if to $700.
