Thanks to all the help I received before, I got my GO7 CBO monitor working great. On a dead momitor I did a cap kit but I needed to adjust the B+ and I needed to turn down the screen/brightness to make everything work. I never would have figured any of this out trying to do it by myself. The picture was crisp and clear. But now, I played it for about two hours straight and the screen went blank/black. The game starts up (galaga), you can hear it playing but you can't see it, you can turn the screen/brightness knob and the monitor lightens and darkens but there is no video displayed on the screen. I need help as to where I might start probing. I've plugged and unplugged the cables, checked/tested the fuses. From what I've read on this site, the problem might be the R908 resistor on the chassis. But either way, I need help again.

Thanks,

Chauncey

Thanks Dokert, You were right. I did need to reflow the solder. There were solders that were cracked and on one of the pins, I touched it and the metal fell off. I thought I reflowed everything correctly this weekend like you suggested but now the monitor neck doesn't glow. I screwed something up. I'll check the transformer as soon as I read up on how to do it. Thanks for all your help.

Oh yeah, I forgot to add that I checked the B+ after I put everything back together just to see what the readings were and the multimeter read 0000. So I screwed something up somewhere. Got to remember to check the fuse too.

I had a little time this weekend to work on the chassis and as instructed by Dokert, I checked F901-blown, F902-OK, R902-I got 2.6ohm, FR401-68.7ohm and R908-I replaced. I don't know if these are the correct readings to have or if I measured correctly but those were my readings. So I've ordered a couple F901 and I'm waiting for them to arrive. And Chris25810, my flyback is new but I could have screwed that up too. How do I test it? I also replaced the HOT and I tested my work but i forgot the reading. I think it was over 687 I believe. Again, thanks for all the help and patience.

First, thanks Dokert and Chris25810 for all the help. I know how you want feedback if something got repaired so here goes. I checked everything that Dokert suggested and after replacing F901, R908 and the HOT, everything is back up and running. I have a humming sound to investigate but the color is beautiful. Thanks again.
