I bought an original Track and Field cabinet that was converted to Jamma. I am in process of converting it back to T n F. I made a harness, following schematics, and installed a track and field boardset. When I power on, it seems that I have a monitor sync issue, because of garbage on the screen. I assume the monitor was the original T n F monitor, because the wiring had been modified. Does anybody know if the sync for JAMMA is different than the non-Jamma sync?

JAMMA is always composite negative sync. Non-JAMMA can be positive, negative separate, or negative composite.

If you actually made an exact TnF harness, then you know the video signal comes out of the PCB to a connector which has the following pin/wire setups:

1 - Ground
2 - Red
3 - Green
4 - Blue
5 - Sync

Now, how that connects to the monitor depends on the monitor model....

It's a WG 19K4901. There are 2 connectors attached to the chassis. One has a white wire that was snipped.

Okay, try connecting it to the 4901 in this way - with the first wire being farthest from the CRT...

Red
Green
Blue
Ground

OK, the Ground wire was cut from connector. Now it's wired properly. There is no change in the screen, it's black with 3 white horizontal lines across screen, looks like DNA strands hehe. I might have some other issues going on.
