Anyone have any good ideas on finding a decent box to ship a monitor in? I have a 20EZ that I need to ship, but I can't find a box anywhere close to the right size.

I have considered making one from cardboard chunks, but I am concerned about its structural stability.

Ideas?

There was a company called ArmorCrate (or something very much like that). They made awesome shipping containers. I shipped monitors from Chicago to Hawaii & back and to Phoenix and back several times without a scratch on the monitors (the boxes looked like sh*t). I don't know where you can get some these days.

Alternatively, go to UHaul or a box place and get double-walled china packing boxes. They have a small one that is just about the right size. And then insure it for $400 (so you can buy a new one when they break that one). Also buy some of the styrofoam (the high density white stuff like they make coolers out of, not the foam rubber stuff).

I have a couple empty monitor boxes. The last Sanyo I shipped fit pretty well in a Wells-Gardner box. I am not sure how much it would cost to ship an empty box, but let me know if you want to go that way. I think it measures 21 x 22 x 19.
