I recently did some work to a Taito Qix game and now i notice a little monitor "shimmy" (ie the screen width - long side - is shrinking/expanding about a mm at a low repetion rate of approx 2 shimmies/sec) ?

I only noticed this after:
1. conversion of the transformer setup to 240 volt operation
- changed the AC voltage jumper block
2. fitting an arcadeshop switcher with the taito adapter
- patched the switcher into the AC wiring after the interlocks but before the AC voltage jumper block
3. tweaking the monitor width control (the coil slug) - i am thinking that this may have been the cause...did i tweak it too far ?...

it is an all original qix - i just didnt note the specific make/model of display in the unit before shipping it off to its final destination! (about 3-400kms south on an island...) but it does have the monitor width adjusting coil mounted seperately to the main chassis just to the rhs of the chassis pcb

any suggestions ?
