Hey guys,

I have a question, kind of silly but I rather ask then make a mistake.

I have a cabinet with a 26" monitor I am trying to adjust the picture on. Colour is bang on but I find it a bit blurry. The control pod doesn't have adjustment for sharpness but at the back of the monitor's neck, there are 5 knobs. 3 separated by caps and then another 2. Problem is there is nothing showing what is what. Could one be sharpness? I dont want to play around with the wrong knob and mess up the colours.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Focus is usually located on the flyback, although a few models (G07 for example) had it mounted nearby...

Thanks for the help guys. I do believe the focus knob is located on the flybac, however there is a black over on the side protecting it and I dont know how to remove it and the fact I am terrified about touching the monitor doesnt help either.

Any ideas?

Assuming a K7000 is still installed you will need to access the flyback. If you are scared of touching live voltage shut off the machine and then remove the cover. The flyback should have two adjustment knobs, one labeled Screen and the other Focus.

Thanks Oryk. Is it still safe to touch the monitor area even with the machine off? I just hear so many stories about getting shocked by the monitor etc, I am terrified lol.

If it is a functioning K7000 it should be safe to touch anywhere except the anode cup (2" - 3" diameter cup that is attached near the top of the back of the tube). You should be able to pull the cover without exposure to live voltage.

IF it is a K7000, there likely will NOT be a cover. If you see a cover, then you probably don't have a K7000. Show us a pic of it if you can't 1000% ID it...

No problem guys. Here you go:

Also, I noticed a bit of a buzzing sound coming from the monitor when the machine is on. Any idea what this could be?
