Hmmm... I go out of my way to say that Chad MUST do good work, or he'd be out of business and he MUST pack well or there'd be complaints, but I use FACTS to demonstrate that someone else charges less and by Chad's own web site admission, the other business does faster work, and I get slammed for saying so? So my only slam on Chad were things backed up not by opinion, but by FACTS (lower price, faster turnaround) and I get beat up? Tough crowd here.

you didn't get beat up at all. you did a comparison with only using one service and you got called on it. you did slam chad btw with your "better and faster" comment.

Your review of allgood proves what is wrong with your review of Chad. Just as the info on allgood's site was incorrect and out of date, so might the information on Chad's site. I didn't get to read you first post since I saw it after FMonk. But what I have seen does make me ask, why even include anything about arcadcup beyond you didn't like the info given on his site so you tried someone else?

he never used chad so how would he know the other company is better? its putting chad down below allgood even though he has no idea what work chad does. and for the record i have never used either service so im not biased.

Agreed.

It was a douchy thread. You are making a flawed comparison if you've never used his services and if you were going off info that could be out of date.

In short, if you were a member of the press, you could be fired for that article. It wasn't a truthful report or comparison.

Why did you even have to mention Arcadecup in the original thread or even in your reposted regurgitation? Why do you have a beef against him? Couldn't you have just said "Hey guys! I found a GREAT alternative source for monitor repairs!" Then nobody would have any beef with your post!

Putting one above the other is not a slam. Chad's turn around time is well documented on his website, all you have to do is watch the que. In the OP's opinion Chad is below the other guy. I still don't understand how this is a slam?

I have never used either of the services and doubt I ever will, since monitor repairs are pretty simple and straight forward. I have known more than a few of Chad's customers that were not happy. I have not heard any complaints (nor any praises other than this one) about the other guy. Do these statements constitute a "slam" of Chad?

That's hearsay. It's different than the original thread. If Chad has unhappy customers then they are more than welcome to become forum members and tell their story.

well, i guess we'll have to agree to disagree then. we see things differently.

It is not hearsay by Oryk Zinyo nor a slam by Joe IMHO. Oryk is just not mentioning the people that have had the bad experiences. I had a bad experience with Chad via eBay, but foolishly left positive feedback before I actually tested the chassis, which was DOA. Never got a single response to my emails. I will never use his service again.

EDIT: In all fairness to Chad, the incident happened about 4 years ago when he was just getting started.

most of my experience with chad has been good/great, there was one wells med res monitor once that came back to me with a ton of cold solder i had to fix.. kind of sucks to spend a hr on the bench when you just paid for service or whatever, but overall ive had a positive experience with chad and will continue to use him for stuff i cant fix :D

I have not needed vector repair yet and im stil on the fence as to who id use for that.. id prolly draft mark into fixing em for me :D

Arcadecup

I have used Chad a few times for the "tricky ones" that I could not figure out my self. I have had a couple of other sales deals with him as well. I have had nothing but good experiances with him. I know what the price is for his service going in so if I send him something, I know what I am going to pay. I have not used the other service mentioned so I cannot comment on them.

Cheaper is better... faster is better...
It's either fixed when it comes back or it's not...

I think there is no service provider that can always do a perfect job. What defines a good service is how they respond when something is WRONG. I've only sent on job to Chad. A terrible sharp vertical collapse and cap fix. It came back beautiful. I can't even imagine how he managed to work around that chassis, it's a mess.

Man, I agree...totally. Shit can happen......it's what happens, after, the shit happens :)
