Sold a game to a guy today and everything seemed to go fine. I played it yesterday for about 15 minutes, no problems. Turned it on this morning and it ran perfectly for us while he and his friend were here. He has it home and now it is showing a black dot or spot in the middle of the screen. He says it comes on after 2 or 3 minutes of play, and he described it as pulsating.

The monitor is a G-07 13". Flyback going, maybe? It was a LONG drive for him to get out here and back, and I'd rather not leave him to his own defenses especially on the day of the sale. I had the game 8 years or so, but never capped the monitor. He did mention that the monitor moved some within the cab. I've moved a few games and have been lucky to have no new problems come up during/after the move. This is a first for me.

Any ideas?

By "comes on" are you saying that he gets full deflection (full picture) after the few minutes? If so I'd say that ther are cold solder joints on the chassis, likely agrivated by the truck ride.

Honestly, any G07 that has not been recapped and had a new flyback installed will fail soon.

My understanding is that the game comes on fine, but after a few minutes it shows a black pulsating spot in the middle of the screen. It ran like a dream this morning. Came right on and popped right up, full screen, like usual.

I'm going to point him toward a cap kit w/a new flyback, but if anyone knows better than I do as to what's up with this thing, please chime in.

I'd say something happened in transit... maybe the coin box hit the neck of the tube? Have them check the crt neck and make sure its not broken and the neck board is on. Make sure the yoke connector is plugged in to the chassis too :)
