From the image below, you might be able to tell that the left side is more squished together than the right. The middle and right are fine, the left is squished. There is also a fold when a moving object passes to the right of the screen. A black line "scans" over the sprite. There is another about two thirds from the top that does the same thing.

I was reading around and it seems to be like "horizontal non-linearity." the fix said to increase the voltage with the "b+" adjustment.

It said this--
"Many sets no longer have any horizontal size adjustments and depend on accurate regulation of the voltage to the horizontal output stage to control horizontal size. There may be a B+ adjustment to perform first. On those that do, the adjustment may either be done by setting the B+ voltage, by a pot, or a width coil in series with the horizontal deflection coils."

I also cannot center the image. It is always more to the left. Horizontal transistor?

Also my horizontal width coil seems to do nothing. I have gone all the way both ways, with no noticeable affect.

Let me know what direction should I go in, if you wish. These problems are small, but wondering if anyone knows a fix.

your tube is mounted vertically, so when you say you can't adjust the width, it may be that you are adjusting the wrong trim pot. left and right on your posted picture is a verticle adjustment. Any issues with picture size should never be adjusted by changing the B+ output. If you have fold over issues, this is usually corrected by replacing the failed caps on the chassis....that you have failed to post what brand you have.

Thanks! I thought it sounded odd about the voltage, but the article I was reading was leading me that way. Thanks for the better direction. Sorry about not posting the monitor type. I have not had time to check but just wanted some basic troubleshooting tips.

I'll get a cap kit and see what happens.
