i have a jamma machine and it used to work fine. it has not been played for about 2 years. i turned it on and this is what i get. its the same with different boards so it is the machine. anyone seen this before. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pkm-u6oUTOs

i forgot the mention that the monitor was a new happs i put in right before it got put into storage.

Are you using an adapter for this board? That could be the issue.

otherwise, stick a true JAMMA board in and see how that works...

yeah it is hooked up with an adapter. the other board is thru an adapter too. i'll have to look and see if i still have a jamma pcb. i'll post the results.

did you change any of the monitor wiring? exactly how long ago was this monitor put in?

If it's been 2 years, I would guess a cap on the power supply. I have two games that did that- one, a Dig Dug that hadn't been run for the winter, and two, a Donkey Kong Jr. that had been in storage for years before I got it. A cap fixed both.

i'll try changing out the switching ps and see what happens.

I would expect the problem to be caps then. In storage (non climate controlled) the caps will dry out faster, and there were a lot of bad caps being made a few years ago and might have found their way on this chassis...
