OK, this is what is happening to my game:

I did some cleaning inside the cabinet, including a very rudimentary brush-off of the monitor, as I was afraid to do much more to it, and the flagging became a little less prominent, moving around more but with less of the screen doing it. But I don't know what I did or how because further cleaning did nothing.

I want to keep this monitor because WOW it is amazingly bright and rich and has zero burn-in whatsoever. But I don't have the skill set yet to do cap kit work or anything like that and I'm concerned that such a thing might be what is needed.

So help a noob out, what is actually wrong here and how do I fix it?

Thanks!!!

also could be that he puled one of the two synk wires out of the harness depending on the model of chassis being used.

or the synk is hooked up incorrectly.

pics of the chassis to help you further.

Roger that, I'll have it open again sometime tomorrow and I will snap a bunch of photos. Arcade is open and busy right now so I can't take anything off the line. Thanks so much for helping me chase down this problem!

Is that a GO7? There was a SYNC mod that was applied to the monitors at some time in their life that fixed a tearing issue like that I think.

What kind of monitor is it?
