Hi guys, I'm not too knowledgeable on monitors and can't think of what I would need to look at for the issue I'm experiencing. I have a monitor (not sure of the model at the moment, but it's in a Williams cabinet) and when I turn it on I'll get nothing on the monitor. After tweaking the adjustment pots on the back I can get the picture to come up and have it looking pretty good, but once I turn it off, I have to play around with the pots again to get the image back. Any ideas on what the issue would be?

There are a number of different things it could be. You should start by getting us a model , and pictures of the chassis. It could be that it has never been serviced and it just needs a rebuild. It could be that
the tube is on the way out and needs a rejuve. The flyback could be dying a slow death, hence needing adjustment every time.

every one of these items

What happens if you don't play with the pots, and just let it warm up on its own?

You might have a cracked solder joint or other bad connection somewhere, or a component that isn't working until it warms up. You actually playing with the pots might just be a red herring.

Start with the basics. Pull the chassis, inspect all solder joints under a bright light, and reflow any that look cracked. Give it a cap kit with top-quality caps if you haven't done one to it, as most monitors need it if the caps are original.
