The crt monitor in my main upright [ generic workhorse ] is playing up , it is going to my techs place , but i thought to air it out here first .
After years of just sitting around in the cab , i pull it out to set up and play a game
Got power to it , with a game hooked up
screen is on and adjustable , ie contrast holds etc , brightness
No game graphics , i turned my flip screen pot and it sparked , turns out 2 wires were pushed in hitting each other [ off the back of the pot ]
replaced the chassis fuse [ 1 Amp ] ,
Cut it short , i now have no yolk glow , and a squeal thru the speaker
Tech guy says , bring it up , sounds like a chassis board issue , he also says those monitorss werent that great any way ,
It is a Phillips A51 572 x , hey i will take a pic , i did see a flash spark in the area i will highlight with a white pen ,
Sounds like it might be rooted , any thoughts ?
