Ok so I have a dead Sanyo 20 ez in my donkey kong. So what can I do to replace the monitor should I try to get another Sanyo 20 ez or are there other model monitors that are easier to get?

Thank you

You get someone on the forum to fix your chassis for around $100 or else pay over $200 for a replacement.

Don't you know that you just need to go down to Walmart and pick up another monitor bulb?

J/K. Someone here should be able to fix it for you. There might even be someone local to you.

start with a cap kit and learn to troubleshoot monitors. check fuses, look for obvious signs of failure like a cracked flyback. post in the monitor repair section and lots of people will help you. if it's too much, somebody on here can fix it for you like suggested

Cap Kit has been done / Fuses replaced / Diodes replaced / Pots replaced and there is no Neck Glow at all. Also the B+ is showing very low voltage I think its fried but I am not sure if the tube is still good or not.

have you replaced the fly back yet? So far I've had good luck with 20EZ's but I have a friend who had fly back after fly back go on him. Bottom line is it can probably be fixed.

The problem is I saw a spark when I popped it on and since then the B+ voltage is very low. Is there a way to test the tube? I can also tell you that when I try to discharge is there is nothing at all getting to the flyback.

I wish I could man that would be great. I am not sure what else I can check I know that when u see a spark it's not good. I am pretty sure I killed it when adjusting the b+.

There are more parts to go over. The flowchart for one will show that the VR can be a culprit as well as the Fly. You don't have to specifically be popping fuses to have a bad fly.

There are still more steps to go through, don't give up! Worst case, ask Buffett for some help as he is certainly the man when it comes to this stuff. I know since I rebuilt a few monitors with his guidance and essentially replaced all of the replaceable parts on one of my 20EZ's and his help.

Thank you to buffett I sent him the Chassis today so I am keeping my fingers crossed lol. I tell you this site is absolutely amazing.
