Got in a Nintendo cab that when I opened it, looks to have been gutted and replaced completely. The wiring is a hacked jamma to a Main Event pcb, with a switcher inside.

The monitor, has a crt made by 'Orion' and on the monitor pcb it says 'A-ONE, KOREA'.

The large resistor has 170 volts on either side so i'm sure its shutting down, why I don't know but would like to find out since crt looks new.. no neck glow, just dead...

Have you capped it yet?

Here's another pic:

I haven't done anything yet... Doesn't look very old.. But that doesn't mean it isn't.... Any idea When were these made around? Yes that's the one except remote adjust. Any known problem areas on these or just cr@p? Anyone know the yoke impedance? Have a g07 chassis kicking around.

Korean A-1 = early Kortek branded monitors. The few I've worked on were from the mid-late 80's.

I pulled off about 5 caps and all were actually very close to spec... Put on a new 3055, and found the 150ohm resistor waaaay out of spec so replaced that as well.. Checked all diodes, transistors and all seems fine..
Wondering if it could be the ic... Or one of the 2 items mounted to the frame around the flyback..
