I have a mint Radikal Bikers with supposedly a brand new monitor (looks new) was working for 2 weeks now it will not turn on. The game plays in the background but no monitor. The tube is not glowing but it seems like the voltage is getting to the monitor. I do hear a faint click that repeats every 1/2 second kinda like the monitor is trying to fire up? Any help would be appreciated!

Monitor board #'s: WG 1407376 P763
Neck Board: P719-1
WGM257-4-u4GR41

WGM 2574 ...?

Wells-Gardner K7400. questions for you:

has this monitor ever been capped before?
did it ever work? did it occasionally black out ever during normal operation?

reason I ask, I had a K7500 do the same thing and it wound up being a faulty B+ adjustment. if the B+ goes too high it will cause the monitor to go into shutdown mode.

I can't remember where the test point is on it for B+. might have to do a little digging around in search on here for that.

I just joined today because I got a multicade at an auction and it was working but is now doing the exact same thing. A slight clicking type noise and no picture but an occasional flash on the monitor. The board is working because you can hear the sound. This happened while I was playing and when I shut it down it kept doing the same thing. I let it sit for a half hour and now it is fine again. I am sure it will happen again.
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Thanks

you're saying yours actually works, but just intermittently? I would say check your B+ to see if it's too high and going into shutdown.

is yours a K7400 too, or do you not know?

I know it's a WG1953344. I figured that much so far.
It has now been working for the last several hours again but I know it will go again.
I hate to seem like a noob doofus but where is the B+?
I downloaded a manual I found here but cannot find that.

Thanks again for your help.

I don't know anything about the older stuff. I don't even know what model that is. lol

I learned the other day that even the famous K7000 doesn't have a B+ adjustment. you just have to make sure all the electronics are tip-top, and I suppose it does the rest. perhaps that's what the voltage regulator is for.

I guess the obvious point to start at is a cap kit. have any familiarity with those? what model is yours exactly.

I tried to look it up on the WG site but it said nothing in the database. I know it's 25" and it was manufactured in march 2002. The thing is that when the picture works, it is perfect.
It is clear and sharp like a brand new monitor. I don't know if it was not used much or it was recently refurbished but when it works it looks brand new. I saw a lot of crappy monitors at the auction and this one was perfect.
Maybe I jarred something in the move.

Thanks for trying.

Update: When I turned it on this morning it was back to the very soft clicking sound and a white flash on the screen every few seconds.
I was trying to find a proper manual for this although the one I have very similar to other older WG.
