I have a 25" polo - thought the chassis was bad so I got another "Wei Ya" from Alva Amusements.

Plugged it in - the power resister got hot and cracked.... screen showed green line briefly.

So I'm willing to try next steps...How do I figure out if yoke is bad?

If it is - how do I get a new one?

Thanks,
Chris

You just need to measure the resistance of the horizontal and vertical coils. If you didn't do this before you ordered the chassis, it's possible you bought the wrong one for your yoke (i.e. high impedence chassis for a low impedence yoke).

I PM'd you on Wednesday with the readings from the yoke on my Hantarex Polo monitor how do they compare to the ones you took?

If you need help on learning how to use a multimeter you can do a google search and pull up various videos and webpages which can help you make sure you're taking the readings using the proper settings.

Yup. Wrong resistance/impedance chassis for that particular yoke.

Remember, Hantarex uses different color wires for the yoke connector too.
