Monitor Chassis G07-CB0 in Ms Pacman cocktail - dead, no power

I have a monitor chassis G07-CB0 in a Ms. Pacman cocktail table arcade. Game plays blind, but monitor is dead. Should I try fixing the chassis or find a working one? An online source says: "sound present, but no picture shown - Replace all capacitors in monitor chassis G07-CB0." I have a feeling the chassis has burnt up more components (see second pic).
Thanks!

the Bob R deluxe kit - caps, HOT, fuse, and flyback - will fix those 90something% of the time

some parts of the board will get hot and look a bit toasty. I've never seen that heat sink look that burnt though.

Ordering the Bob Roberts deluxe kit. We'll see how that does. Will end up being almost $50 total for all the parts, when I can buy a working chassis for around $70. hmmmmmmmmmmm

i went through the same problem. the caps look good, so theyve probably been replaced. the flyback doesnt, however. im guessing that whoever replaced the caps neglected to replace the flyback and it blew, most likely taking the hot with it. are you blowing fuses? if f901 is blowing, the flyback and/or hot is the culprit.

In my opinion, a GO7 should always be repaired. Easy to work on, predictable, easy to find parts for. Oh yeah, and a great picture when working properly.

So buy the working one, hope it's been rebuilt, send me your non-working one, and play your game.

And there are other places to get the flyback...

Yeah I've had very good success with G07's so far. Every one that I've rebuilt from dead has always fired up afterwords.

I seem to have the same problem with my Ms Pac-Man Cocktail arcade game. Unit has power and plays (can apply a credit and hear audio) but no video. 120V going to monitor (on board fuse checs OK) but I believe that there is no High Voltage and kneck of CRT is not lit. How do I check what type of PCB Assy. in on monitor chassis?
Suggestions?
I read something of a rebuild kit or is it better to swap out boad.

If the monitor is all original, I'd rebuild it.

It's likely a G07-CB0 19" monitor. To check, the tag should be somewhere on the metal frame that holds the tube and chassis board. It will not be on the tube or board itself. To solve most problems and prevent new ones arising, I'd advise just doing a complete repair kit: G07 Deluxe Repair Kit $40.00
