Just a general question. I just finished my 5th sanyo 20ex recap and I've noticed a trend. All of them I've done have had the brightness, color drives and color knobs all jacked up. Is this because as the caps where failing over time it was just easier to "add blue" or "add red" etc? On most of them I noticed if I take all the adjustments back to center, do the cap kit and plug it in it looks great. Just minor adjusments like B+ and focus. Enough rambling, just wondered how many other see stuff like that. - Barry

I often have to make adjustments after a rebuild. Quite often, i find that I have to turn the brightness UP after the rebuild. Not sure why...

Oddly enough the last 20EZ I did was the only one I've done that I didn't need to adjust anything afterwards. I usually spend an hour after a cap kit adjusting everything to THX standards (Ha Ha). But the last one was Fonzie status. (no adjustments needed)

My first 20ez I had to turn up the brightness. After the cap kit I was freaking because I thought I screwed it up. I had to tinker with it quite a bit to get it to look good. At the time I had absolutely no idea what I was doing (like I know any better now) and thanks to Dokert I learned about B+ and how to adjust it. I now actually enjoy doing the 20ez's. - Barry
