On the topic of earnings, this little quote from a developer interview has always stuck in my mind :
"NBA Jam is the crown jewel of coin-op,
still holding the world record for most money earned
at one location in a single week ($2,468)."

Was it a Midway dev...cause devs will tell you their game invented gravity if you're willing to believe everything they say.

SF2 default IIRC (double check dipswitches) charged 50 cents to start, 25 to continue. Not disputing that initial 50 padded the number a bit, but I remember the norm in most places being "wait for some sucker to pay the initial extra quarters".

Let's just say Coin Operated pool tables. They are still in use last I've seen.
