I bought a Jr Pac from a friend and his buddies were there and heard the money so they opened the coin door and got the money :-(

I bought a beast Tokyo Wars at a Super Auction for $100 and found $310 in quarters under the coin box. They fell between the cab and the coin box holder. The only way to see/get to them was to remove the coin door.....JACKPOT

And then I sold the machine for $350!

My shinobi I got for $300 yielded me $1.75 and it did not even have a coinbox.....it also came with the schematics.

Soon it will be a hellcade 48 in 1,I wish I could find more games but they are as rare as hens teeth in my part of the world it seems

For whatever reason, this thread took me forever to locate again.. I'd been following it but had nothing to contribute, until today!

I was trying all coin mechs on my Defender (had only been using the one closest to the door edge till now), just to see if they all worked... I heard a "plink" from the center mech into the coin return.. I stuck my finger in expecting to find a penny or some crap, and out comes a Canadian quarter. Better yet tho, it was from 1979! My Defender's been across the border! Well, guessing anyway.

jow your not supposed to count the amount of quarters you have inserted while playing the game. your supposed to count the number of items left in the game by the operator which doesn't include yourself. hehe

Heh. I couldnt believe it.

Note to self. Anytime you call about a game, and the person says "I dont know anything about it. I just bought a retail store, and it was left behind by the people who went out of business", buy it.

I didn't think that Tetris was capable of making that kind of money anymore. Maybe it wasn't emptied for a really long time. We had one at the bowling alley I used to work at and it was lucky to make $7.50 a week.

Previous to that, I worked for a guy who got a few shipments of reimported pinball machines from Europe. At one time, I had a small pile of Lira, Duetch Marks and a few other currencies that I found in the bottom of the machines.

The Canadian quarter from the aforementioned Defender was probably just a fluke. People sometimes try to use them instead of regular quarters. They stick to the magnet and jam up the mech. I have seen it several times, mostly in DDR for some reason.

i picked up a golf game for $30 that I found about $60 in.

the other score wasn't a game but I picked up a roadrunner 5 foot gumball machine from a guy. he didnt have the keys to 1 of the 4 he was selling and when i got there, others already snapped up the other 3 which were cleaner then the one I took. got it home, drilled out the lock...

pulled out about $256 in quarters.

paid $100 for the machine so i came out 156 ahead.

My buddy Scott bought a Ninga Turtles not to long ago. He said when he loaded it up the change fell out of the bucket!! He paid 180 for the game and almost had 300 when he drilled the locks off!!! What a find!! I only find around $1.

A few dollars here and there but I once found a nice set of Craftsman socket wrench, mag light and about an ounce of the green stuff in a gallon zip lock bag. Of course I did what ever honest law abiding citizen would do and it returned it the owner
