How much money have you found in games you bought?

Someone was using a DK cocktail to hide their money and forgot about it. Buddy bought it for cheap and dropped it off for a full restore and I drilled the lock and found all of this. Basically paid for most of the restore 😂👌
Yow! That's over $240!!!

Usually I just find tokens or a few quarters. Once I found around $60 in a Time Crisis 3 though, and another time I found a bottle of whisky in a Cruisn' USA
But was it GOOD whiskey?

A few months ago I picked up 4 games for free from a couple in the middle of nowhere, who had just bought a old store and were in the process of renovating it and wanted the games gone that day. A vendor I work with knew them and knew I loved cades so she got me in touch with them. I ended up getting a Rush 2049, a Daytona USA, A Deer Hunting USA in a TMNT cab and a multicade in a Dynamo HS-1 cab. The TMNT cab had $75+ dollars in quarters and the multicade had $80+ So technically I was paid $150+ to remove these games 😆 I didn't even realize they had money in them until I unloaded them off of the trailer and heard the jingle of coins.

$132.50 in a reunion from a "gentleman's club".

Paid $500 for the machine, so picked up a $367.50 reunion!

Today I was working on a Hydro Thunder that I picked up for free a few years back when some coins under the coin box caught my eye. Turns out there was $90.56 in there!

I had the same thing with a Cruis'n USA cab. Tried giving it away free with no takers. Broke it down and got something like $45 out of under the coin box. :cool2

Picked up this Love Meter machine. When my friend and I were loading it into the car we heard change rattle instead it and got excited. Picked the lock and it had almost 63 dollars in the coin box

Bought a few machines some years back, had to pay a dude to help pick them up. Loading the 6 machines into the truck of course we tipped them over, heard a massive amount of coins shifting in them, full to the brim. "Nice one" I thought.

Get back to house, literally couldn't manoeuvre 3 of them into house, just the weird shape of the entrance. Heavy as hell too.

Panic. Can't just have the truck drive off and be stuck with these machines left on a public road, agree to just bring them back to op. Trying to not piss off the truck man, the op, and my mental loss of the machines. All I'm thinking about.

It was only after getting them dropped off and maybe a few days later again that I remembered the money. Did a calculation knowing the size of the coin buckets in them and the denominations of coins...reckon there was at least €1000 euro between them, could even have been double or more.

Oh and the machines were a steal at €50 each. Ridiculous.

Obviously I never forgot!

Found a shrunken picture of two of the culprits, a simpsons and a turtles. This was taken just before loading them up first time
