I recently purchased a candy cab, they are usually tough to open without a key (tubular locks/usually have to drill) I took the time to pop the locks open and I got exactly $49 worth of quarters out of it. There's still a few in hard to reach places.

I found this at the bottom of my viewer that I purchased in Nashville. Those poor suckers that put a penny in a viewer that was broken and stuck on Freeplay.

Stuff you find in old arcade games. The most change I've ever found in a game along with some late 90s Chuck E Cheese tokens. A plastic spoon. A dentist note. A business card for a behavioral specialist. A krystal burger contest card for one free Krystal (cheese extra) that expires In March 1993. And a 8mb memory card for a PlayStation 2.

What did all this come out of?

I opened (picked the lock) of a Watling scale in town.

When I opened the front door, thousands of pennies fell out. It filled one of those large glass bowls.

Also, some dimes.

We didn't count them, but I'd guess it was $30 or more just from the volume.

It hadn't been opened for years.

I bought a non working decrepit Time Pilot 84 from a church for $40. It was locked everywhere. I took it home and opened it up, found $26 in quarters; the most recently dated quarter was from 12 years earlier.
Replaced a fuse, vacuumed the dust on the boards, replaced a blown speaker- all in at $9 for repairs. Cleaned it up and flipped it for $300.

I picked up a galaxian from a restaurant a few years ago for $300 and am willing to bet I got it for free with the amount of quarters in the coin box! Wish I bought their converted defender to street fighter lmao

I saw a Kickman and an Eyes on the dock of a Fort Walton Beach thrift shop in 1996. I asked the clerk how much they were, he said "Five." I whipped out my wallet and handed him a ten, figuring he mean $5 each. He gave me five bucks back in change.

When I got them home I found about $15 in quarters inside Kickman…

When Ted Turner bought the Atlanta Braves in the early 70's, he went into the team offices in Fulton County Stadium and found a big safe. On opening it, they found more than $3 million in cash, which was more than he'd paid for the team (how times have changed).

Turned out the safe was full of the stadium concessions take that nobody had bothered to take to the bank. All the cash now belonged to Ted, making the Braves, probably the worst franchise in baseball at that time, profitable on day one.

WINNER WINNER chicken dinner by around $2 million!

Wow!

Someone was using a DK cocktail to hide their money and forgot about it. Buddy bought it for cheap and dropped it off for a full restore and I drilled the lock and found all of this. Basically paid for most of the restore 😂👌
