A few dollars here and there but I once found a nice set of Craftsman socket wrench, mag light and about an ounce of the green stuff in a gallon zip lock bag. Of course I did what ever honest law abiding citizen would do and it returned it the owner

I found $12 in my Popeye cabinet. The game was dead when I bought it at $150, so basically I paid $138 for it, right? LOL

I found Manuals/schematics to other games, tons of dust bunnies, top half of some keys, Shinobi PCB, and few coins (odd, but no quarters).

I've found a couple of dollars here and there...
The best was a gumball machine pair I bought without keys. $18 in quarters after the locks were drilled out.

I bought a Super Chexx hockey a few months back and thought it was a little heavy - I heard some change moving around when I moved it - I thought it was just a few bucks. I have a customer that wants one so I started to work on it so I had to start off by breaking into it seller didnt have the keys and didnt get them when he purchased it. So I look inside and see a nice layer off quarters but I could not reach them through the coin door(doh) now I know why no one has grabbed the quarters from the bottom you have to take the damn thing apart. So i take the top off and dump the quarters out and hosed down the plastic base while I was at it . I gathered up all the quarters and counted them. It came to a total of $457.25 - I only paid $400 for the game.

I think I just got my high so far at this last auction... a Hard Drivin' with $13 in quarters... yeah, I never get very lucky

. I only paid $50 for it, but that thing is so heavy now that I've moved it... I don't think it was worth it

A Super Chexx for $400? Wow that's a deal in itself w/o the extra change.

I found $1 in quarters in the leg of an atari centipede cocktail I got at the last auction for $10, so $9 total for the cocktail table.

i sold a pac man to a dentist office and took in trade a after burner upright for $75 trade in. i did not get big buks for pac man, 600, so after i was doing this i thought why am i paying 75 for a dead, non working, bad monitor bad cabinet after burner? i knew i was going to part it out, and the value there is small. maybe 20 for the door, and 25 for the pcb. nothing else there worth anything. so for the trade i am in the hole plus i have to do the labor to get there. oh well, so taking the game out the dentist says he has lost the coin door key and since the game was on free play we dont expect there to be anything in box, so he says just keep any money you find, so now i think maybe ill get an extra 20 since i hear some change slopping around as i move the game, i get it home, open the door, and theres 178.00 in there! so my over value on the trade in worked out just right !

SINCE I WORK FOR A MOVING COMPANY AND I SEE ALL KINDS OF MACHINES,..THERE WAS THIS ONE TIME I DID A JOB FOR GOLDMAN SACHS IN MANHATTAN NY,..THERE WAS A CLEANOUT, SOME PART OF THE COMPANY WAS MOVING ACROSS THE WATER TO JERSEY CITY NJ,..AND WE WERE ALMOST DONE WITH THE MOVE ON THE SENDING END, SO WHATEVER WAS LEFT OVER WE HAD TO THROW OUT IN THE DUMPSTER OF THE BUILDING OR BRING HOME TO KEEP, PROVIDED YOU HAD A BUILDING PASS FROM THE SECURITY GUARD,..ANYWAY,..WE CAME ACROSS OLDER COMPUTERS, FURNITURE, AND A SODA MACHINE THAT THE COCA COLA VENDOR FORGOT ABOUT,..SO THE CLIENT (CUSTOMER) TOLD US TO THROW EVERYTHING OUT INCLUDING THE SODA MACHINE,..(STILL HAD COLD SODA INSIDE)
grin.gif
WHEN THE CUSTOMER LEFT TO GO TO THE NEW PLACE IN JERSEY,..I ROLLED IT INTO MY TRUCK AND BROUGHT IT HOME AND FOUND MORE THAN 200 BUCKS IN BILLS AND 200 IN CHANGE AND PLENTY OF SODA STILL LEFT OVER!
