Gold

I was working on my Asteroid Deluxe and thought I had a light bulb on the bottom of the cabinet so after I was done I decided to clean up the garbage and picked up this light bulb. Turned out to be a small vile with gold flakes in it. OH! And 6 pennies. So my question is, why is there pennies on the bottom of my AD cabinet? :)

i think the gold vial with flakes in it is every more questionable. people did that? first time ever hearing or seeing anything of this nature.

That gold vial is very strange. I will lay odds, that is part of a necklace. However, not gold - but gold leaf.

My first game was a S.A.M.I. that was given to me it was in pretty bad shape but had $27 in quarters in it. A couple months ago I bought a big Rowe change machine for $30. Drilled the lock on it and got $192 in quarters out of it. I then cleaned it up, verified it was working and sold it for $150.

I found a baggie of weed and a pipe in an old Neo Geo 4-slot haha :D

It was "hidden" in the coin bucket behind a locked coin door that I had to drill.

I won a "non working" Tekken Tag and a "working" Street Fighter III in a repo auction a few years ago for $15 total!

Of course I was pissed at first when I got them home, because SF3 was missing the monitor chassis, and the security cart was dead. I was in better spirits when Tekken Tag fired right up, had a 29" tri sync in it, and about $30 in the coinbox after I cut the master lock off.

I mostly collect older EM arcade games, bought a Williams Ten Strike that had hundreds of dimes loose inside the game. What was really neat most of these dimes were silver dimes from the 40's and early 50's

After buying and selling a few hundred games over the past 20 years I have found up to $200.00 in a game before and all kinds of trash but the best was 2 live rats!!!! Had to play exterminator with my pellet gun.

Picked up a Rowe CD-51 off Craigslist for $75, found about $9 inside it when I picked the coin door lock. Worked great once I got it open & replaced the CCC battery.

Money in purchase of bar machines.

I bought the entire contents of a bar that became a hoarder of cigarette machines and pinball and arcade machines. Here is the picture I took of the treasure. Those are $10 stacks of quarters.

Awesome. That'll get you one Atari red led button.

Back in the pre-EURO days we bought a Pole Position Cockpit for 60.-- Deutschmarks. Played it for a while (yes, it was working!) and then decided to move it to a different place in the house. For this we had to tilt it up onto its back when all of a sudden coins started to fall out. I think we got about 80 or 100 DM out of it. To this day I wonder where all those coins had been hiding, as we had inspected then game when we got it.

A few years later we emptied out a warehouse full of games from a guy who operated games on US military facilities here in Germany. Got a decent amount of US quarters out of those, about 40 to 60 dollars if I remember correctly. I still have them because obviously it is not that easy to spend them in Germany :D

Man, I'm lucky if there's even a coin bucket left in the games, let alone any money. I think the most I've found is $1.25.
