I was cleaning out the bottom of my Atari Anti-aircraft and thought I saw a quarter from a distance. Turns out, it was just a washer.

Got real excited for the $100 Ms. Pac I recently picked up because the guy didn't have keys for the lock bar on the coin door OR the back door... so it could have literally anything inside.

Drilled out the back door as the front had a lock bar across it that I could easily take off from the inside... I lift the cover on the coin box to reveal the sweet treasures inside...

One quarter.

CHA-CHING. Say hello to my $99.75 Ms. Pac!

I found a dvd in my friends game and of course it was shrek 2 lol :D he also had a quarter

Last September I bought a GORF that had been used in home for the past 10+ years, but for some reason they never switched it to free play and had been using quarters with the coin box padlocked. When we were wheeling it out, we both heard the jingle. He looked inside and saw them through the box slots. He looked around for they key for a few minutes but couldn't find it and I guess he didn't figure it was much, so we loaded it up. Fri night I was bored so I finally drilled the lock. $90.50. I've not played GORF 362 times total in my life, let alone enough to possibly forget I had that much coin inside it.

The "gambling raid" Neo Geo I have has a locked coin door and I can hear stuff rattling around in there. Not sure how much, but looking forward to finding out. It's one of those locks that takes the round, cylindrical key. I'm sure that's going to be "fun" to drill out.

Funny, I was just thinking of starting a thread with this exact topic!!

I'm including a pic of the Japanese Pachinko tokens and a few quarters I pulled JUST OUT OF THE COIN SLOTS of my Millipede cocktail the other day.

Overall, I'd say I've found about $10.

Also, I can see several Chuck E Cheese tokens in the bottoms of my Frogger and Carnival cabs, but I haven't been able to fish them all out yet. I've decided I'd like to start collecting all of the CEC/Showbiz tokens I can and embed them into a bar-top or tabletop in my future arcade. Maybe encase them in some transparent shellac.

Found $54 in the bottom of a ms Pac that I bought a while back. Funny thing is the previous owner had pulled the monitor and PCB but left the coin box alone. I only paid $75 for that cab, so I guess I only paid $21 in the end.

Apparently in Ohio, everyone that has even lost the keys to the cabinet ensures there is no money inside. Amazing how they are able to do that.

Picked up a Zaxxon for a fair price last night, could hear quarters sloshing around inside when we were moving it, but my buddy who was helping me with the cabinet said "No, I think its just a couple pennies in there". Opened up the coin door and only 1 Quarter in the coin buckets... BUT when we pulled out the big mounting board that the PCB and transformer was attached to reveal the dead space underneath..... SCORE!

$60.75 in quarters... and 4 pennies

$320 in quarters in a juke a few weeks ago.
Previous record was $45 in a pachinko.

$12.52 in a $200 Star Castle. The previous owner said there were 3 or 4 quarters in it, but she didn't have the key and didn't care about a few quarters. The key was on a screw inside the back...
