A friend and I just went and picked up a Crazy Taxi sit-down and once we got it unloaded in his garage, I opened up the coin door and pulled out the coin box and found $4.25 in quarters underneath. The game was purchased from an amusement business that is selling off everything.

I picked up an Area 51 not too long ago with $36 in quarters in it. Only paid $50 for the cabinet, well technically $14. Best of all it cost $0 to get it back fully working.

Golden Axe

I picked up a Golden Axe a couple years back and was cleaning all the dust and crap out of the cabinet. I pulled the coin box out and found a small white gold ring with few little diamonds along the top, and initials on the inside. I checked with the seller and he didn't' know anyone with those initials. One of these days, I'll get it appraised and maybe it will pay for another game.

I found a diamond pendant in a mrs pacman. Popped the lock w a crowbar and as the dust settled a twinkle appeared in the bottom. A jeweler friend of mine gave me 125$ for it. Only paid 100$ for the game that was sold as non working.... They didn't know the on switch was on top of the game. Got a free working mrs PAC and my gas money back...and I got to feel a bit like Indiana jones pooping open a treasure chest

Yeah there's a bunch under there still but I didn't feel like taking the whole coin door off to get to it. There was some liquid lip gloss dumped in as well and I'm sure it's all gooey underneath.

Ooooooohhhhh.......what flavor? :D

I've found in addition to quarters: a mini screwdriver, cat food, pretzels, and pot.
The weed I gave as tips to pizza delivery folks for awhile and the rest to a friend. Love that can't get in trouble for possession anymore!

It happens at auctions, especially a liquidation. The one I went to the guy had died and family was selling everything untested and un-opened.

I just pulled three bucks out of one coin mech. I have no ideal how they fit in there. But they where there!!

My latest - 32 light bulbs, 53 quarters in a Z-Back. How did all those light bulbs end up in there?! (Only a few pictured)

Super Off Road

Just bought it. Guy said he didnt have the keys and there would be some money but he didnt know how much. Got it home and taking it off the trailer the coin door popped open. Not much cash only 7.50 but thought it was funny that the coin door wasnt even locked and no one ever checked to see if it was.

Just found about $15 in a Pole Position II cockpit. I'm taking that stack of quarters straight to an arcade! (in like a few weeks)

Recently bought a complete Tron as is for $150.00. Owner had a lock bar across the coin door and a padlock on the back door and didn't have keys to either lock. Long story short cut off front lock and opened coin door (wasn't locked). Found $65.00 in quarters and half a coin box of tokens. Plugged game in and it worked. Haven't counted the tokens. So after all was said and done, got a working complete Tron for $85.00.

I got 8 jukeboxes from a bank repo and some were still locked. A lot of trouble getting in them, but one had $154. The most id ever found in a game before that was $18 in quarters.

I found a gold US proof set in a game I bought a while back. The seller was a jerk, so I never got back with him about it. I think the coins added up to $2500 in value (before gold took a hit). I deal with coins all the time, so it wasn't that big of a deal for me, but finding it in a machine was. Best coin was a 1922 St. Gaudens Double Eagle.
