Might have a shot at getting a Sega Monaco GP sitdown cabinet for $200 (or less if I can talk the seller down). I'm hoping to pay about half that.

From the pics it seems as though the colors on the monitor have been screwed up and he said the screen wiggles a little. Big fix or little fix? What do you guys think this is worth in the condition it's in? Cosmetically it looks alright, maybe some touch up needed on some of the black paint near the edges, but that's it.

Will this be a pain to resell? Also how's the gameplay? Answers to any of these questions would be appreciated. Thanks!

I sold a non-working one, with a couple extra boardsets, for $100 a while back.

I would think that $200 for a fully working machine would be a good deal.

Is the seller in Selden, NY? If so, I sold him that one. I originally bought it from Stutrac but at one point had to sell it due to lack of space in my 3.5 car garage! I also sold him the monitor too. He wanted $300 to $400 for it but I recently offered him $150 and he never responded. I even had my friend contact him and he told my friend he bought it for hundreds of dolalrs (which he didn't). It is definitely worth $150 since I sold it to him for $75 with no monitor in it.

As far as gameplay, IMO it is one of the best driving games ever made. I love that game. When I went up to funspot I played it for at least 1 hour straight. Resell? I do not think it is in high demand but you do not see them around alot.

Good luck with the purchase!

Great game...I love my mini---though a BEAR to repair those giant logic boards! A cap kit will probably fix that monitor...a great monitor chassis....a very reliable monitor. Todd

Those are GREAT cockpit cabs. Light and they have handles and wheels to move them around easily. I had the Sega Turbo cockpit which is essentially the same cab.

I bought mine for $200, sold it for $250. Though it was light and looked good, the gameplay sucked and I never understood the shifter being on the left side. I have never played Monaco GP, how different is it from Turbo?

Monaco GP in the cockpit cabinet is one of the best! It is the kid favorite in my arcade. I love to play it too. I'm trying for the 9999 world record score. I've done pretty good but not quite there. I got mine not fully working for $125. It was a little beat. Cleaned up really nice. I think $200 is a good price for a fully working one. Should just cap kit the monitor to make sure it's good.

Oh, I also have a Turbo UR and the Monaco GP is a much better game. I like Turbo, but MGP is really fast!

Thanks, some really great feedback here. I'm hopefully gonna check the game out tomorrow. As long as the only thing broken is the monitor I might go for it.

$100. Be prewpared for it to sit at your house. And sit and sit and sit. Not much market for those for home gamerooms, go figure...

I agree! I love my full sized upright. Cant beat those classic arcade sounds. The cockpit looks great too.
