I recently picked up a Monaco GP Mini. I'm not sure if it's having issues or not, so I thought I'd ask here. Basically, the LEDs on the display up top constantly change from low brightness to high (like wavy). I'm assuming some type of grouding or cap issue, maybe with the LED driver PCB.

Also, is there supposed to be any music during the game? All I hear are the sounds of passing cars and crash noises. None of the volume pots on the pcb seem to make any adjustment.

Thanks!

Mine had this problem and I replaced the lamp driver board and it went away.

Nope no music. Those pots aren't volume either. They are "tuning" pots and effect the tones in the game. Played with mine and messed up the music when you turn the game on and at the end of a game. Couldn't get it back to where it was so I just swapped boards.

Good luck with it. One of theses day's I'll find a 100% working set of boards for mine. Though I'm slowly building the largest Monaco GP board collection.:D
