Because of the water we got in the basement, the Frogger took on some water, and now has some mold starting on the back of it. Will water with bleach put a stop to this or is it trashed for good?

Or is there something else I shoudl be doing?

Fans and dehumidifier are already at work.

Thank you,

Chris

I've had good luck with a water/bleach solution in the past. I let it soak in a bit... and then treated again and wiped down. I'd also make sure to keep it in a low humidity area for a while to make sure the mold has stopped.

Really, *REALLY* sorry to hear about your games getting damaged more than you thought... :(

ita a bitch man...

ok yeah bleach works kind of,

if its looking like its going to be super agressive you might want to consider something like this: http://www.cleanertoday.com/Mold-Killer-MoldSTAT-Plus-p/moldstat16.htm
(btw that particular one dillutes to make you 21 GALLONS of mold cleaner. Might come in handy if your whole basement starts stankin...)

Thats the biggest bitch of wet cabs, getting them fuly dry quickly. I have and always wil have a couple old firnace "squirrel cage" fans around, theyre the best for that purpose.

I think Jeff has got the right idea. You have to kill the mold first with bleach and water. Then you might look for a product(s) that are made for dyring out wet basements. The stuff I have seen is in pellet form and comes in a 25lb bag. You might find this type of product in the hardware store and use it around the game but not in/ on the wood. Don't give up on the fan and good luck.

Chris, the bleach and water trick works. If you do that, let it dry for at least a couple days, then prime the area that got wet with Kilz, it will never mold or stink.

Good luck buddy!
