I have a refrigerator dolly i use to move my games that i purchased from Sutherlands. I don't recommend that one for the main reason is the buckle for it sits right at the edge of most cabinets and proceeds to break off chunks of the wood when tightened. No big deal though, i just use a ratchet strap.

The thing i want to do to it though is add something to the back side of the dolly (the side that faces away from the load) so i can lay my games down and slide them down the basement stairs. I can do this now, but the concrete is eating up the rails. I thought about pvc but it seems to brittle.

Any ideas?

post a pic of what the dolly looks like. My dollys buckle is always in the front middle(feeds from both sides). I have seen some dollys with 1 long strap. But those have no buckles..

I don't know why your laying your dolly on its back going down stairs. Seems like a good way to loose control.

I know a friend of mine puts plywood down over his steps and makes it iinto a ramp to get his games into his basement.

Maybe you can put some old carpet to cover the back?
