I have a JAMMA Gallag board that appears to me to be fairly modern. The only identifier on the board is a QA sticker with the date 03 02 20 (Feb 20, 2003?) and the ROMs (GALA-174-1,2,3,etc0. Silkscreen wise it has CTE 001 94V-0 0303. It's a JAMMA pinout. Looks exactly like an 80's GALLAG bootleg including messed up colors. I have no sound out and am trying to find info on the board to see where to start trying to figure out the sound. If I change any of the dip switch settings to what I believe are Gallag switch settings to get free play or 3 players, the board doesn't boot. Setting them back to 5 players and 1 Quarter per play boots right up. Any info is most welcome!

Thanks!

Start by making sure it's getting a 12V supply. Then start looking/probing in the sound section, which is the corner of the board near the edge connector. Everything from the volume pot over to the amp (the Fujitsu SIP near the corner) appears to be the sound output section. Should be able to trace 12VDC power from the edge connector over to the amp; and trace the amp output to an output cap and then to the audio output at the edge connector.
