Moderator help please :)

Mods won't be able to get you the edit button back, but you could ask them to edit the post for you.

That thread is pretty old. Right now only the mods can edit it for you. I've spent some time looking at the challenges we have with editing old posts and I really want to address them. The challenge is that it what I think we need to do will require changes to vbulletin itself and will be some real work. I'll get to it soon. First though, I'll need to update to the newest version (of the 3.x) series of vBulletin and that itself is going to be work.

I was thinking the same thing for my ppclone status thread. It would be nice to keep that first post updated with the status of the various customs, overall status and FAQs.

with the current limitations on editing, seems like a good course of action would be to have a mod lock the original thread, and edit the first post to link to a new thread (and possibly add a final post pointing to the new thread and explaining why it's locked). Of course, you'd have to do this every 30 days, so it's kind of a hassle.

That thread is more than 6 months old, and was editable on 10 Jan (So editable for 3 months

In conclusion . .
I will start a for sale thread soon, and that will fix this particular problem

Thanks
