This subject is one nobody wants to talk about but here i am lol.

I have a pachislo that a customer wants to buy her husband for christmas, but of course she wants it to run on quarters.

Anybody else done it? pm me if youd rather not talk publically about it.

Probably depends on the model. My pachislo all you had to do was tape over the slot in the plastic ramp where the smaller diameter quarters would drop out down into the tray before registering. I can probably take a photo if you want.

Some use a coin comparator. Others all you have to do is readjust the coin mech so that the quarters catch the upper lip as they roll down at an angle.

Takes longer to remove the coin mech than to adjust it. It is usauly two small screws that adjust the metal ramp. you can set it up and drop a few coins in to conferm that they are going down the proper slot priore to reinstalling it.

A word of warning:

In some states a Pachislo may be legal operating on tokens, but if you convert it to quarters it may then be an illegal machine. This is the reason that many Pachislo websites such as pachitalk.com have removed the conversion instructions and ban members from talking about it.

Here in Washington state, all forms of Pachislo machines are illegal.

probably illegal as Ken stated, but keep in mind they would have to keep like $150-200 in quarters in the hopper unless they feel like opening the door to refill it during a bonus round. These things spit out 300-700 tokens per bonus.

+1... Pointless to convert with the payouts these things produce...

This is not really appropriate subject matter for the site. We don't need legal issues to arise from illegal gambling discussions here ;)
