I see that the annual MOMA auction is scheduled for October 17.

Minnesota Operators of Music and Amusements
CDL Building
11071 93rd Ave North, Maple Grove, MN 55369

They evidently dumped Grafe Auctions and have gone with Super Auctions this year.

Unfortunately, even though it's only 3 miles from my house, I will miss it as I have other obligations that day. :-( Oh well, didn't need any crappy JAMMA conversions anyway! [It's also the same weekend as Pinball Expo.]

yup this is sure to be an intresting auction especially with such a high premiums, shill bidding and shady deals. Can't wait to see everyone and mock others. I'll be there and it damn well be better than last year for prices and selection. Nothing like giant 4 player conversions and monster drivers that no-one wants because they can't possibly fit in any normal sized home.

Oh Well Maybe that hop a tic tac toe is still there that I left behind last year.

See you all there...

This auction doesn't sound very promising at all. Why even go? Is there a chance that there will actually be a cool game or two a guy can bid on?

There were definitely a few decent deals to be had last year - Phet's 720, a decent Gyruss, and a nice Bagman come to mind.

There sure was a whole heaping lot o' crap to wade through, though.

Plus the 20% buyer's premium on top of the hammer price, PLUS tax - you really have to be careful in your bidding.

I'm still going to have to miss it. Hopefully, you guys will report here on what it's like.

There were a few interesting pieces there last year. But, as Ross said, lots of big honkin' games that nobody really wanted and many mediocre conversions. I did pick up a decent San Francisco Rush for about $300. Found that I liked it, upgraded it to Rush the Rock, and it's still in my game room.

The online auction database that had all the past MOMA results in it seems to have disappeared, unfortunately...
