hello, i have a ultimate mortal kombat 3 arcade, and the video has gone out of sync. it powers up and plays but its as if its a sync issue, but i did check the monitor with another board and it played. i did take it out and look at it but i didn't see anything out of the ordinary, any help in what to check?

Is it rolling or just multiple images? If it is rolling you may need to adjust the holds. It is not uncommon for these to need adjustment when boards are swapped. If is it multiple images what board are you swapping it with?

i have a multicade board i tried on it to check the monitor, im not swapping it yet ,and yes the video is fixed and not scrolling, multiple image. it work fine for years and just stopped one day, i believe it to be the board

try following the video outputs on the JAMMA edge back to the board components. see if anything's cooked. (my illogical suggestion)

actually, look for anything cooked. something like this I don't suspect would be rom related. run the CPU Test, see if anything comes up bad. could this be a ram issue?

There may be an issue with the monitor, however the garbled graphics on the right side of the image indicates a board issue. Even though you might not be able to see it, do as mecha suggests and run a burn in test to see if any bad roms show up.

even though I own the friggin game, I can't remember exactly where said components in question are at. I THINK you can try pressing on various spots on the board to see if the problem improves/worsens. could be some resistors that went bad or something stupid like that.

What about pulling and seating all the EEPROMS on the board, that might be worth a shot.
