just out of dumb curiosity, do you know what kind of monitor you're running?

ignore the numbers on the tube, focus on the little circuit board attached to it. :)

if you can get pictures, that works too. I can't tell by your pictures if this is a monitor issue or a game board issue.

actually its a game im about to buy but he wants to up the price way up if he fixes it.....so i posted on here to see if someone knew exactly what it was and if it was a simple fix :)

oh dude, I can see better now, that's definitely a game issue. more than likely a bad RAM on the MK2 board itself, not the monitor.

simple answer: it's not a simple fix.

you can tell by the distorted graphics on certain layers. there's some people on here that might be able to fix that, but for the price involved you might be better off getting another working MK2 board or swap the game out with something else.

Yeah that looks like board issue to me.
Not sure what a working MKII board runs these days, but I'm guessing around $100??

depends where you get it. I know KLOV probably feels it's no more than $50, but if you want a guaranteed working game, I guess you'll pay whatever is necessary. lol

I wouldn't go over $100 though, and that has to be with the sound board and all cabling. in this case though you could more than likely get away with just a working main board and recycle all the sound hardware/cabling. it'll save you money.

then you could just donate the broken board to someone that fixes them. then they can resell them, I imagine.
