I bought a MK2 cab that has a MK1 bootleg board like the following.
The sound is too loud. Is there a way to add a volume pot to these boards or a way to adjust the sound?

I can access the service menu, but it's just like the real MK1 menu. I reset it to default settings for all settings. This did not fix the issue.

Interesting, I have never seen a bootleg board before. My MK1 has the 2 seperate boards, PCB and sound board.

Sorry I was not help..

That little white plastic part in the bottom right corner is a volume adjust knob. These bootleg boards are simpler than the actual Midway one's. Try that 1st

How is the audio on the bootleg board? I've once heard about one board that had tons of issues; the sound effects were super limited, the scrolling effects in stage didnt work right, and the backgrounds in most stages were black.

How is it? can you make a video? I would love to see it in action (i kinda like to collecto mk boards :p)

there are a bunch of that board rolling around. i have a rev 3.0 one i believe maybe i'll dig it out tomorrow and make a vid.

I adjusted the volume with the plastic pot on the board. I think the board is messed up. The sound has a ton of static. I swapped out the speaker to rule it out. I'm probably going to get rid of the board since I bought a real MK2 board.

Try just turning the pot back and fourth while pushing slightly then while pulling slightly and see if that helps. It is probably just dirty.
