Hey guys,.
Anybody have a quick answer about MK pcb's?
In my MK conversion can i yank the MK and put in MKII or MK3 without any modifications?
I was told the kick harness is different?
Any advice?
Thankyou all in advance!

I'm not completely sure but I believe the only change was MK3's run button.
You'd be lacking that if you put in a MK3, otherwise I think you're fine.

no reallly with it not being dedicated I would not invest more into it. Like you said the error was not being a issue. Now, if you want to keep it go MKII for sure.

ok

So you for sure would not send it off,.or have someone "fix it"?
Im torn,.i dont like my non dedicateds,.(all) lol
I want to sell the 6 and get like 2 or 3 deds.
My Indy Heat (i know) is dedicated,.
My Phoenix is woodgrain with sideart,.but that doesnt mean dedicated right?
The more i look at my games,.the less i want them.
I want THEM,.but not those cabs.
Was gonna sand and paint them all,.but is there a point?
thnx dude!

??

I am fickle.
lol.
I guess i just want new looking beautiful cabs,.not necessarily dedicated.
I want my games to look new.
Im gonna obtain tools before more games and start the clean up process.
Most my games have security holes (with bolts to cover) i need to fill and i want to paint them all.
How do you guys feel about putting 4 wheels for easy movement?
Or metal corners for busted wood.

Well when you start modifying a dedicated cab you kind of take away the whole restore deal but hey, its your game. Just watch out for the preservation police.

If I can chime in for a comment. Unless you are planning or getting pure dedicated cabs for classics such as Galaga, Pac Man etc that ARE and WILL be worth a lot of money in the near future, I say do as you please with your cabinet. As many have said, MK's are a dime a dozen and even a fully restored one is not worth that much now or in the near future, IMHO.

I have a dedicated cabinet SFII CE cabinet that I am working on restoring now, but I'm taking a restomod approach. Looks like a SFII CE cab from the outside but I installed a PC to run mame, but that's just me. I like to have the best of both worlds, but the fact is even if I was to sell it one day (which I won't) as a full dedicated, it would be worth Sh!t.

I wish you the best of luck with your project no matter which way you decide to go :)

Pretty much nailed it there.

And thankyou Eagle. My cabs are not dedicated,.so i dont see how fixing them up could hurt. (Even if they were dedicated..)
