Got a nice cab that was missing aboard that.I'm trying to put back out in service.

I was thinking for the missile command p c b tested working two hundred dollars talks especially with the prices on everything these days it is going down down down but Is had some offers at 300, seems high. Can get tempest and other working vector boards for 200.....no way middle command is more .

I wouldn't sell a MC board for less than $250. I also wouldn't sell a Tempest for less than $400. However those are refurbed and tested boards with warranty.

There are basically two kinds of boards: Refurbed and warrantied boards, and everything else. And everything else is a gamble.

Any board that is not refurbed and warrantied should be considered not working. Because even if it is working, the chances of it staying that way for long are low. Typically in these cases you're buying a board from someone who found it in a warehouse, plugged it in, and saw that it worked. And many of these boards will crap out within the first few hours/days/weeks of use.

This is VERY common for warehouse boards. And if a board fails, you're going to spend anywhere from $150-300 to get it repaired, depending on the game. So always factor that into the price you pay for any non-warrantied board.

The only exception is if you know the history of a board, and you know it is coming out of a machine where it has been in regular use for some time in the last 6 months. (But then again, why would someone be selling a board out of a working game?) A board that has been in regular use will have less of a chance of developing problems than a warehouse board that hasn't been run regularly in years.

So even more than price, what's really important if you're going to gamble without a warranty is to get the history of the board from the person you're buying it from. (And if they won't give it to you, that should be a red flag.)
