Missing key to coin door - Advice?

Midway Ms. Pacman cabinets all had the back door keyed alike to Fort Lock key # 1355 (double bitted). If you have a 1355 key you can take off the back door, reach in and undo the control panel latches. Now lift off control panel and you can easily remove the coin door lock without damage.

Now you can either take that lock to a locksmith and have him make a key to fit that lock or you can go buy a lock at the hardware store.

And if you DON'T have a 1355 key (because it's hanging on the inside of the coin door on a hook), your back door is locked and it's not being held on by screws:

You can use a 1/4" nut driver to remove the hand scoop and reach in with a screwdriver to remove the cam from the back door.

Then pop the latches to the control panel as Ken said, as you'll probably have a shield blocking the lock in the coin door...

Ken, Perfect!! Just what I was looking for... Glad I didn't drill it.

you can also order locks from Bob Roberts (along with lots of other good parts for repair,) and get them keyed alike. i think he carries only #641 so you always get locks that take the same key. while it's not nearly as cool as having a pegboard full of custom game-flyer key chains, it's pretty darn handy to need only one key for all your games.

I got inside with no problems. Thanks for the helpful hints. Hey, I found a door key, unopened tool kit, and a registration sticker. Cool.

The controls show almost no wear.

There's your # 1355 back door key hanging on it's hook on the coin door.

It also looks like you need some # 194 lamps for the coin entry windows.

I know this post is 10 years old but it just helped me open up my cabinet without drilling. Thank you!
