I've got two Taito Boards, one of them originally a Nastar Warrior. These are missing the game roms for some reason, and I was wondering which ones to order.

They are labelled 271001, and what I can find on www.arcadecomponents.com is 27C1001 - which seems okay - but there are different itterations of this eprom with different ns values. How do I know what to order?

In the manual for Nastar, I don't find any helpfull information. Anyone who could shed some light on this?

Hey, I recognize that site. ;)

The easiest way to determine what ROMs are missing are to look at MAWS or Caesar entries for the game and see what ROMs they have listed.

Not all games populate all sockets with ROMs. Many manufacturers use the same board for a couple or more games - each of different sizes.

http://maws.mameworld.info/maws is the site you want to look at.

And looking at MAWS, it has 4 4Mb ROMs, 4 1Mb ROMs, and 1 512Mb ROM. You can also click on the "driver" file (ending in .c) listed at the top of the game page that sometimes has text representations of the board layouts showing where ROMs go.

The System16 website generally shows pictures of boards and is helpful that way...

I saw pictures of the board, which showed me where there should be roms. But my problem is, which one of these 271001 should I buy?

The ns value is the speed of the chip.
With all of them the same price get the fastest ones in stock . 120ns
